Album
Make Believe
Make Believe is the fifth studio album by American rock band Weezer, released by Geffen on 10 May 2005. Work on it began before its predecessor, Maladroit, had even come out, and the sessions stretched across almost three years, far longer than on most of the band's earlier records. The lyrics move back towards the emotionally open writing of their earlier albums.
It proved a big commercial success, reaching number two on the US Billboard 200 and number eleven on the UK Albums Chart, largely thanks to the single "Beverly Hills". That song gave Weezer their first Grammy nomination, for Best Rock Song. Reviews and fan opinion were mixed, but the album has continued to sell steadily, which makes it a fascinating chapter in the band's story.
