Album
Stay Hungry
Stay Hungry is the third studio album by Twisted Sister, the American heavy metal band, and it came out on 10 May 1984 on Atlantic. It follows Under the Blade and You Can't Stop Rock 'n' Roll, and it is the record that brought "We're Not Gonna Take It" and "I Wanna Rock" into the world, two songs still bound up with 80s glam metal. It is also the band's only platinum album, and it went on to sell more than three million copies in the US by 1995.
The sessions weren't entirely smooth. Producer Tom Werman played the band some Saxon, and Dee Snider took it to mean some of his songs might be swapped for covers. Jay Jay French later said two songs the band wanted were lost to Werman's influence. The band re-recorded the whole record as Still Hungry in 2004, and played it front to back in 2009.
