Club Daze Volume I: The Studio Sessions gathers early studio recordings by Twisted Sister, taken from sessions made between 1978 and 1981. Spitfire Records put it out in 1999, and it was reissued in 2001.
The material comes from before the band's first album, Under the Blade, arrived in 1982, so it catches them in their club-circuit years rather than at the commercial peak of Stay Hungry. For anyone who knows the later records, it's a useful way to hear where the heavy metal sound began to take shape.
