Album
The Eyes of Alice Cooper
The Eyes of Alice Cooper is the American rock singer's sixteenth solo album and his twenty-third studio record overall. It came out on Spitfire Records on 23 September 2003, and it follows Dragontown, Brutal Planet and the heavy industrial metal sound that defined those two albums.
Here Cooper goes back to straight-ahead hard rock, in the spirit of The Last Temptation, with garage rock edges. "Between High School & Old School" is the track to seek out. It revisits the schoolyard themes of "School's Out" and has since been described as a modern Alice Cooper classic. The sleeve is a curiosity too: it appeared in four versions, with the eyes and the crescent around the "A" in blue, green, purple or red, which should keep collectors busy.
