The Best of Pantera: Far Beyond the Great Southern Cowboys’ Vulgar Hits!
The Best of Pantera: Far Beyond the Great Southern Cowboys' Vulgar Hits! is a compilation from the Texan heavy metal band, released in September 2003, just two months before they split. The long title stitches together the names of their first four major-label albums, which gives a fair clue to the ground it covers.
The CD gathers fifteen previously released tracks and one unreleased song, drawn from all six of their major-label records, with three covers included and everything laid out in chronological order. Four tracks come from Far Beyond Driven and three each from Vulgar Display of Power and Reinventing the Steel. A DVD adds twelve music videos, two of them live. It reached No. 38 on the Billboard 200 and later went Platinum. Outside the US it appeared as Reinventing Hell: The Best of Pantera, with different artwork and a different track selection.
