The Singles 1991-1996
The Singles 1991–1996 is a box set gathering six CD singles by Pantera. It came out on 23 September 1996 through EastWest, and it was released in Australia only, which makes it something of a curiosity for collectors rather than a standard greatest-hits package.
It sits in the middle of the band's most commanding run. Cowboys From Hell arrived in 1990, followed by Vulgar Display of Power in 1992 and Far Beyond Driven in 1994, with The Great Southern Trendkill also appearing in 1996. For anyone who wants to trace how Pantera's heavier, groove-driven sound reached listeners one single at a time, this is a neat snapshot of that stretch.
