Official Live: 101 Proof
Official Live: 101 Proof is a live album by the American band Pantera, released on 29 July 1997 through EastWest. It sits in the groove metal bracket that the band had made their own, with alternative metal and heavy metal also listed among its genres.
It arrived a year after The Great Southern Trendkill (1996), and it follows the run of albums that began with Cowboys From Hell in 1990 and continued through Vulgar Display of Power (1992) and Far Beyond Driven (1994). For anyone who knows those records from the studio, this is the chance to hear that stretch of the band's work in a concert setting. Reinventing the Steel was still to come in 2000.
