Album
Thirteenth Step
Thirteenth Step is the second studio album by American rock band A Perfect Circle, released on 16 September 2003 through Virgin. It followed their debut, Mer de noms, and came before eMOTIVe the following year. The band's sound sits where alternative metal, alternative rock and progressive rock meet, and this record shows all three sides of it.
It went straight in at number 2 on the Billboard 200, selling over 231,000 copies in its first week, and it stayed on the chart for 78 weeks. It was certified gold in November 2003 and platinum in March 2006 by the RIAA. "Weak and Powerless" topped both the Mainstream Rock and Modern Rock charts, and "The Outsider" and "Blue" also made those listings. Start with those three singles, then play the album through.
