WWIII
WWIII is KMFDM's twelfth studio album, released in September 2003. It follows Attak from the previous year and comes before Hau Ruck in 2005. The band recorded it in Seattle, and it is their only release on Sanctuary Records, though the listing also credits Mayan Records. It sits in the industrial, rock and industrial metal camp where the group had long been based.
What sets it apart is how openly political it is. The songs take aim at George W. Bush's presidency, American wars in the Middle East and the country's foreign policy, so this is a record very much of its moment. The closing track, "Intro", puts the band members on show by introducing them one by one. The title song, released as the first single, later turned up in the game Saints Row: The Third.
