Brimborium
Brimborium is a remix album by the industrial band KMFDM, released on 19 February 2008 through Metropolis Records. The title is a German word that can be rendered as hoo-ha, mumbo-jumbo or rigmarole, which suits a record built from reworkings and odd extras. Aidan Hughes designed the artwork, basing its background drop zone on an old street map of his home town, New Brighton.
It follows Tohuvabohu, the band's 2007 studio album, and draws most of its material from that record, with a single remix from Hau Ruck added in. The one new piece is "What We Do for You", assembled from voice messages left on the KMFDM Fan Phone. Its title nods to the band's 1993 hit "Light". That makes it a fun one for committed fans who enjoy hearing the band's electro-industrial tracks reshaped.
