We Lost the Skyline
We Lost the Skyline, also issued as Transmission 7.1, is a live album by Porcupine Tree, released on 18 February 2008 on Transmission. It captures an in-store show at Park Avenue CDs in Orlando, Florida, on 4 October 2007, played to 200 fans. There was no room for the full band, so the set was performed by the two guitarists and singers, Steven Wilson and John Wesley.
It arrived just after Fear of a Blank Planet and shows the band in a stripped-back, intimate setting. The whole eight-song, 33-minute performance was recorded by a remote facility and is presented complete. The digipack artwork came from photographer Lasse Hoile and designer Carl Glover, and Tonefloat pressed a 180gm vinyl edition, including a numbered run of 1,000 on marbled vinyl. For fans of the band's progressive rock, it offers a rare close-up.
