Anesthetize
Anesthetize is Porcupine Tree's second live concert film, released on 20 May 2010 through Kscope. It was shot in high definition over two nights in Tilburg in the Netherlands, on 15 and 16 October 2008, as the Fear of a Blank Planet tour drew to a close. Lasse Hoile directed and edited, while Steven Wilson mixed the soundtrack in stereo and 5.1 surround.
It catches the band just after Fear of a Blank Planet and shortly before The Incident, and it is a good way to see how their studio sound translates to the stage. The deluxe edition pairs a 130-minute film on DVD and Blu-ray with two CDs of the full soundtrack plus a bonus track, all in a cloth-bound hardback book of concert photography. Classic Rock named it DVD Release of the Year.
