XMII
XMII is a live album by Porcupine Tree, released on Transmission in 2005, with a UK and European release in June of that year. It sits in the progressive rock catalogue of a band that began as Steven Wilson's home-recording project and grew into a full group.
It arrived in the same year as Deadwing, the band's first record to enter the Billboard 200. By then they were a settled four-piece with Gavin Harrison on drums, who had joined for In Absentia in 2002. For anyone who knows the studio albums from Stupid Dream onwards, it offers another way into that period of the band's story.
