Yellow Hedgerow Dreamscape
Yellow Hedgerow Dreamscape is a compilation from Porcupine Tree, released on Magic Gnome in January 1994 in the UK and Europe. It gathers the leftover tracks from the home-recorded material Steven Wilson made in the mid and later 1980s, which he had put onto three demo tapes: Tarquin's Seaweed Farm, Love, Death & Mussolini and The Nostalgia Factory.
When Wilson signed to Delerium, the plan was a double debut album. He chose to trim it to the songs he rated most, and those became On the Sunday of Life… in 1992. This collection picked up what remained, so it works as a companion to that first record and shows the psychedelic rock of the band's earliest days, before Up the Downstair and The Sky Moves Sideways brought the fuller line-up and wider reputation.
