EP
Futile
Futile is a Porcupine Tree EP released in 2003, issued through the band's own Porcupine Tree Download Store. It is a small release and one for the dedicated listener, arriving in the year after In Absentia.
That album had been the first to feature Gavin Harrison on drums in place of Chris Maitland, and it did well across Europe. Futile sits in the gap between that record and Deadwing in 2005, a period when the band was building its audience. It is worth tracking down if you enjoy following Steven Wilson's group through the stretches between the main albums.
