Rockpalast
Rockpalast is a live album by the British progressive rock band Porcupine Tree, released on 19 July 2006 through the band's own download store. It was recorded on 19 November 2005 at the Live Music Hall in Cologne, Germany, and takes its name from the festival and TV show that filmed the night. Not every song made the broadcast, and the album is available only as a download from the band's official site, never in shops.
It catches the band between Deadwing, released that year, and Fear of a Blank Planet. The set leans almost entirely on that album and on In Absentia, with just one older song slipping in, so it works as a snapshot of the group in their mid-2000s form. Two of the performances, "Futile" and "Radioactive Toy", were later added as bonus material on the Arriving Somewhere... DVD, which is a good hint of where to start.
