Saturday Night Wrist is the fifth studio album by Deftones, the American alternative metal band, following their self-titled record of 2003. It came out in October 2006 on Maverick, and it was the last of their albums to appear on that label. It also closed a chapter in other ways: Terry Date, who had produced their first four records, stepped away, though some early work with him was scrapped. It was the final Deftones album to feature bassist Chi Cheng.

The making of it was long and fraught, taking roughly two years and testing relationships within the band. Chino Moreno was dealing with drug addiction and a failing marriage, and that pressure shaped the songs. He counts it as his least favourite of their albums. Fans and critics saw it differently, and it was widely praised, with some reviewers rating it alongside or above the self-titled record. It rewards anyone curious about the band at their most strained.
