Live
Live is a short live EP from Deftones, released in May 1998 on Maverick. It captures the Sacramento alternative metal band in the period between their first two albums, when their reputation had been built largely on relentless touring and word-of-mouth rather than radio play.
It arrived a year after Around the Fur, the record that gave them their first charting singles and their first international success, and two years before White Pony took them to a much bigger audience. For anyone who wants to hear how the band sounded on stage as that rise was beginning, it makes a handy companion to the early studio albums.
