Adrenaline
Adrenaline is the debut studio album by American alternative metal band Deftones, released on 3 October 1995 through Maverick. Terry Date produced most of it, while the hidden track "Fist" was handled by Ross Robinson, a small detail that gives the closing moments a different hand at the desk.
It's the starting point for a catalogue that would run through Around the Fur, White Pony and beyond, up to private music in 2025. Here you can hear the band at the very beginning, working in a mix that touches alternative metal, post-hardcore and the heavier edges of the mid-nineties scene. If you only know the later records, it's well worth going back to see where it all began.
