Album
Dizzy Up the Girl
Dizzy Up the Girl is the sixth studio album by the American rock band Goo Goo Dolls, released on 22 September 1998 through Warner Bros. Records. It sits in the alternative rock, power pop and post-grunge camp, with a pop rock sheen that points squarely at the mainstream.
It follows A Boy Named Goo, which had already given the band a Billboard top five hit in 1995 with the downbeat "Name". This record took them up another level, and it leans towards more mainstream songwriting than anything they had made before. It is also the first album to feature drummer Mike Malinin. If you want to hear the point where a scrappy rock band became a much bigger name, this is the one to put on.
