’98 Live Meltdown
'98 Live Meltdown is a concert album by Judas Priest, released on 17 September 1998 through CMC International Records. It was recorded on the Jugulator World Tour and is the first live record to feature Tim "Ripper" Owens, who had taken over as the band's lead singer. It arrived a year after Jugulator, the studio album that introduced him.
For anyone curious about this chapter of the band's story, it shows how the new line-up handled the stage. A second live album with Owens, Live in London, followed in 2003. '98 Live Meltdown was later reissued in the limited edition 50 Heavy Metal Years of Music box set, released in October 2021 through Sony Music Entertainment and Legacy Recordings.
