Album
Redeemer of Souls
Redeemer of Souls is the seventeenth studio album by Judas Priest, released on 8 July 2014 through Columbia. It is a straight-down-the-line traditional heavy metal record, and it arrived as the band's first without founding guitarist K. K. Downing, who left in 2011. Richie Faulkner took his place alongside Glenn Tipton.
It follows the more conceptual Nostradamus from 2008 and gives way to Firepower in 2018. It was also the last Priest album produced by Tipton himself. In the United States it sold around 32,000 copies in its first week and reached No. 6 on the Billboard 200, the band's first top ten debut there. For anyone curious how Priest sounded in their new line-up, this is where that chapter begins.
