Album
Futurology
Futurology is the twelfth studio album by the Welsh band Manic Street Preachers, released on 7 July 2014 by Columbia. It followed Rewind the Film from 2013 and came out before Resistance Is Futile in 2018. The record brings in a handful of guests: Green Gartside, Nina Hoss, Georgia Ruth, Cian Ciaran and Cate Le Bon.
Two singles were taken from it, "Walk Me to the Bridge" and the title track. Critics received it warmly, and it debuted and peaked at No. 2 on the UK Album Chart, the band's best placing since Send Away the Tigers. For anyone who stopped following the Manics after their 1990s heyday, it is a good place to catch up with them as an alternative rock band still open to fresh voices.
