Postcards From a Young Man
Postcards From a Young Man is the tenth studio album by the Welsh band Manic Street Preachers, released on 20 September 2010 through Columbia. It followed Journal for Plague Lovers, which came out in 2009, and it sits between that record and 2013's Rewind the Film in the band's run of studio albums.
The Manics described it as "one last shot at mass communication", and the music backs that up, leaning on the bright, big-hearted end of alternative rock and power pop. It reached number three on the UK chart and received good reviews. The band then took it out on their most extensive UK tour to date. For anyone who loves their anthemic side, it is a record worth revisiting.
