Masquerade in Blood
Masquerade in Blood is the seventh studio album by the German thrash metal band Sodom, released on 20 September 1995 through Steamhammer. It follows Get What You Deserve from 1994 and comes before 'Til Death Do Us Unite in 1997, sitting in the middle of a long run of records that stretches back to Obsessed by Cruelty in 1986.
The album carries on in the same vein as its predecessor, but with a more post-thrash approach. It is often regarded as the band's rawest and heaviest record, which makes it a worthwhile stop for anyone who wants to hear how Sodom sounded in the mid-1990s, when the band was still pushing its thrash roots into rougher, denser territory.
