Roorback
Roorback is Sepultura's ninth studio album, following Nation from 2001 and coming ahead of Dante XXI in 2006. It appeared on 27 May 2003, with a European release a couple of weeks earlier on 12 May, through the Steamhammer label.
The Brazilian band had already moved well beyond their death metal beginnings by this point, and the record's stylistic tags show how wide their range had grown, taking in groove metal, alternative metal and hardcore punk alongside heavy metal. For listeners who know the band mainly through Beneath the Remains, Arise or Roots, it is a useful way to hear what Sepultura sounded like in the early 2000s, a stretch of their career that often gets overlooked.
