Século X.X. / Bestial Devastation
Século X.X. / Bestial Devastation is a split release from December 1985 on Cogumelo Records. Sepultura's side, the Bestial Devastation EP, was their first official release, and it shared the record with Século XX by Overdose. The Brazilian band's story begins here.
The songs later found a second life as bonus tracks on the CD version of Morbid Visions, the band's first full studio album, which followed in 1986. Max and Igor Cavalera, founding members of Sepultura, returned to the EP in 2023 and re-recorded it alongside Morbid Visions under their band Cavalera. It is worth hearing as the starting point for a band that went on to make Beneath the Remains, Arise and Roots.
