There's a conflict in the material: the label is given as Shark Records, while the introduction says Cogumelo Records. Since the two disagree, I'll leave the label out.

Also, the studio album list shows Século X.X. / Bestial Devastation (1985) before this one, while the introduction calls Morbid Visions the debut studio album. I'll avoid the "debut" claim and rely on the list for placement.

Morbid Visions is the first full-length album from Sepultura, the Brazilian band, released on 10 November 1986. It arrived a year after their Bestial Devastation split release, which is listed first among their studio records, and it sits at the very start of a catalogue that runs to Quadra in 2020.

The music sits where black metal meets death metal, a raw and fast-moving sound from a young band at the outset of their career. It is worth hearing as the starting point: the place to go if you want to trace how Sepultura moved on to Schizophrenia in 1987 and Beneath the Remains in 1989.
