Backtracks
Backtracks is AC/DC's box set of rarities, released on 10 November 2009 through Columbia. It gathers studio and live oddities that had been scattered across singles, EPs, promo discs and soundtracks, all remastered to match the sound of the band's 2003 album reissues. Many of the songs appear on CD for the first time. It follows Bonfire, the band's earlier rarities box from 1997.
The Deluxe Edition, sold only through acdc.com, runs to three CDs, two DVDs, an LP and a 164-page hardback book, all packed inside a working 1 watt guitar amp. The studio disc has A-sides such as "Who Made Who" and "Big Gun", plus B-sides and tracks issued only in the UK or Australia. The set also includes the third Family Jewels DVD and the full 2003 Circus Krone show from Munich. A cheaper Standard Edition offers two CDs of highlights and the Family Jewels disc.
