Too Fast for Love
Too Fast for Love is the debut studio album from Los Angeles's Mötley Crüe, first released on 10 November 1981 on the band's own label, Leathür Records. That first pressing was just 900 copies, and it was the record that began their climb. The sound sits between heavy metal, hard rock and glam, and it introduces the band that would go on to make Shout at the Devil two years later.
The story doesn't end with that first edition. Elektra Records signed the band the following year, and the album was remixed and partly re-recorded, with a different track listing, slightly altered artwork and "Stick to Your Guns" dropped. That version became the standard one behind later reissues, while the original mix stayed off CD until the 2002 box set Music to Crash Your Car To: Vol. 1. It reached number 77 on the Billboard 200 and eventually went platinum. "Live Wire" is worth starting with.
