Album
Dr. Feelgood
Dr. Feelgood is Mötley Crüe's fifth studio album, released on 1 September 1989 through Elektra. It followed Girls, Girls, Girls from 1987 and was the first record the band made after getting sober and going through rehabilitation in 1989, which gives the whole thing a sharper, more focused feel than you might expect from a band with their reputation.
It is also the one that brought them to the top of the Billboard 200, their only album to do so, and it remains their best seller. Many critics and fans rate it as their finest studio work. It is the last record with Vince Neil on vocals until Generation Swine in 1997, so it closes a chapter in the band's story as well as marking a peak. If you want the Crüe at their most commercially successful, start here.
