Cold Lake is the fourth studio album by Celtic Frost, the Swiss extreme metal band, and it came out on 1 September 1988 on Noise International. It followed Into the Pandemonium from 1987 and arrived with a rebuilt line-up. Bandleader Tom Warrior was joined by newcomers Oliver Amberg and Curt Victor Bryant, along with Stephen Priestly, who returned after playing with the band in 1984 on the Morbid Tales EP.

This is the record where Celtic Frost stepped towards glam metal, and it was marketed to tap into that style's wide appeal. The music itself leans more towards traditional heavy metal. It was not well received by the band or their fans, and it is no longer available to buy, which has made the LP much sought after by collectors. It is worth hearing as the odd one out in the band's catalogue, sitting between Into the Pandemonium and Vanity / Nemesis.
