1984–1992: Parched With Thirst Am I and Dying
Parched With Thirst Am I and Dying is a compilation from the Swiss extreme metal band Celtic Frost. It came out on Noise Records on 16 March 1992, and its subtitle, 1984–1992, takes in the band's career up to that point.
Rather than a straight best-of, it gathers album tracks alongside demos and assorted other recordings. That makes it a useful way in for anyone curious about the group's path from Morbid Tales in 1984 through To Mega Therion, Into the Pandemonium, Cold Lake and Vanity / Nemesis. It also suits listeners who like to hear the rougher edges behind the finished records.
