Vanity / Nemesis is the fifth studio album by the Swiss band Celtic Frost, released in 1990. It followed Cold Lake and turned out to be their last record before the group split in 1993, with the next studio album, Monotheist, not arriving until 2006. A reissue with additional tracks appeared in 1999.

The band kept experimenting here, blending traditional heavy metal, thrash and gothic rock. It sounds different from the black and thrash metal of their first two albums and from the avant-garde leanings of Into the Pandemonium, though it keeps some of the lyrical and musical traits of those records. Critics at the time panned it, but later reviewers have seen it as a return to form after Cold Lake. There's also a cover of David Bowie's "Heroes", and "The Heart Beneath" turned up in trailers on Manga Entertainment video releases.
