The Razors Edge
The Razors Edge is AC/DC's twelfth studio album, and it arrived in 2024...
Correction: here is the summary.
The Razors Edge is AC/DC's twelfth studio album, recorded at Little Mountain Sound Studios in Vancouver with Bruce Fairbairn producing and Mike Fraser mixing and engineering. It came out in September 1990 and gave the band a proper comeback, led by "Thunderstruck", "Are You Ready" and "Moneytalks". It is also the only studio record to feature Welsh drummer Chris Slade, who played with the band from 1989 until 1994.
Reviews were mixed, with praise for Brian Johnson and Angus Young alongside complaints that it sounded too much like earlier work. Listeners didn't seem to mind: it reached number 2 in the US and number 4 in the UK, and went multi-platinum in several countries. The Razors Edge World Tour began that November, and the record put AC/DC back at a level of success close to their late 1970s and early 1980s peak.
