Live at River Plate
Live at River Plate is an AC/DC concert album, released on 19 November 2012 by Columbia. It was recorded on 4 December 2009 at River Plate Stadium in Buenos Aires, during the Black Ice World Tour that followed the band's 2008 studio album Black Ice.
The concert had already appeared as a DVD and Blu-ray in May 2011, so this audio release gave fans a way to hear the night without the pictures. It also carries some weight in the band's story: it is the last AC/DC release to feature Malcolm Young, the original rhythm guitarist and co-founder, who retired in 2014 because of poor health. For anyone who wants to hear the band's blues-rooted hard rock with its founding line-up on the rhythm side, it makes a fitting document.
