Album
But Here We Are
But Here We Are, released on 2 June 2023 through Columbia, is the eleventh studio album by Foo Fighters. It is the first record the band made after the death of their longtime drummer Taylor Hawkins on 25 March 2022, and it is dedicated to him and to Dave Grohl's mother, Virginia, who died in August 2022.
Greg Kurstin produced it with the band, and Grohl played all the drums himself in Hawkins' absence. That makes it a different kind of Foo Fighters record, shaped by loss and made by a band working out how to carry on. Five singles preceded it: "Rescued", "Under You", "Show Me How", "The Teacher" and "The Glass". Josh Freese then joined as drummer for the Everything or Nothing at All Tour.
