The Best Of
Radiohead: The Best Of is a compilation from the English band, released on 2 June 2008 by Parlophone in the UK and Capitol in the US, both part of EMI. It draws on their first six albums, Pablo Honey through Hail to the Thief, the records made while they were under contract with EMI.
The band had no creative input and were critical of the release. It reached number four on the UK Albums Chart and went platinum in the UK, Ireland, France, Italy and Spain, and gold in Belgium and Poland. Reviewers admired the songs but questioned whether the collection was needed, felt it sat awkwardly with Radiohead's music, and thought it leaned too heavily on the early albums. After the back catalogue moved to XL Recordings in 2016, it was removed from streaming services.
