No Surprises / Running From Demons
No Surprises / Running From Demons is a 1998 EP built around the fourth and final single from Radiohead's OK Computer. Thom Yorke wrote the song on tour with R.E.M. in 1995. It pairs glockenspiel and a soft sound inspired by the Beach Boys' Pet Sounds with bitter lyrics about dissatisfaction with the social order. Grant Gee's video shows Yorke's helmet slowly filling with water. The song reached number four on the UK singles chart.
