Jewels is a Queen compilation released on 28 January 2004, and it was made for Japan alone. It came on CD in a 24-bit digital remaster, with detailed liner notes in Japanese and the traditional obi strip across the sleeve, the kind of presentation Japanese collectors tend to prize. A DVD of the same name accompanied it, gathering the official videos for the songs on the album and adding two bonus tracks.

It is the first part of a small Japanese series. Jewels II followed on CD on 26 January 2005, and on 30 September 2005 Jewels I & II: Japan Tour 2005 Special Edition appeared to promote the Queen + Paul Rodgers tour there. That set combined both CDs with an extra disc of two live videos from Queen's Milton Keynes Bowl show of 5 June 1982. For fans who want the remastering and the videos together, it is the place to start.
