Tempo of the Damned
Tempo of the Damned is the sixth studio album by the American thrash metal band Exodus, released on 2 February 2004. It was their first full studio record since Force of Habit in 1992, ending a long gap in their catalogue. It was also the first Exodus studio album to credit founding guitarist Kirk Hammett for a song, "Impaler". The release came two years to the day after the death of former member Paul Baloff.
It marks a turning point in the band's story. Steve "Zetro" Souza sang on it for the last time until Blood In, Blood Out in 2014, and founding drummer Tom Hunting did not return until The Atrocity Exhibition... Exhibit A in 2007. Guitarist Rick Hunolt also made his final studio appearance of that era. Andy Sneap worked on an Exodus studio album for the first time here, and he stayed on for the albums that followed until Persona Non Grata.
