Let There Be Blood
Let There Be Blood is the ninth studio album by American thrash metal band Exodus, released on 28 October 2008 through MRI. Rather than offering a set of new songs, it re-records their 1985 debut, Bonded by Blood, with the band revisiting the material that first put them on the thrash map.
Guitarist Gary Holt and drummer Tom Hunting are the only players who feature on both versions, so this is the same songs played by a changed band. It also includes "Hell's Breath", a track that dates back to a 1983 rehearsal featuring Kirk Hammett and had never been recorded officially. It sits between The Atrocity Exhibition: Exhibit A and Exhibit B: The Human Condition, and it suits anyone who wants to hear the debut's riffs with a fresh set of hands behind them.
