There Is Nothing Left to Lose is the third studio album by Foo Fighters, released in the US on 2 November 1999 and in the UK and Europe a day earlier. It was the first Foo Fighters record to carry a studio credit for drummer Taylor Hawkins, though Dave Grohl still played drums on some tracks. It was also the band's first album released and marketed entirely by RCA, following their move from Capitol after The Colour and the Shape.

The band recorded it as a trio, with Grohl, Hawkins and bassist Nate Mendel working in the basement of Grohl's home in Alexandria, Virginia. The result is softer and more experimental than what came before, and Grohl has described it as his favourite Foo Fighters album, built entirely on melody and recorded in a serene atmosphere. It won the Grammy for Best Rock Album in 2001, the band's first Grammy.
