Live at Reading
Live at Reading is a CD and DVD package from Nirvana, released in November 2009. It captures the band headlining the Reading Festival in Reading, England, on 30 August 1992, a show that had circulated on bootlegs for years before this official release gave it a properly mastered sound and colour-corrected picture.
It arrives between Nevermind and In Utero, so it catches the band at a pivotal point in their story, playing a major festival slot in England. It is also the first Nirvana release to credit Chet Powers as a songwriter, because the show opens "Territorial Pissings" with lyrics from his song "Get Together". For anyone who only knew the rough bootleg copies, this is the tidier way to hear the night.
