Live at Masters of Rock
Live at Masters of Rock captures Canadian heavy metal band Annihilator on stage at the Masters of Rock Festival in Vizovice, Czech Republic, in 2008. It came out on 30 October 2009 on Steamhammer, and it works as both a concert film and a live album.
The story behind it is a little untidy. The footage was issued on DVD, with a live CD originally planned as bonus material. Trouble at the band's label, SPV, which was facing insolvency, meant the audio was released as a standalone live album instead. Some cameras were switched off partway through the show, so clips from earlier songs were dropped in to cover the gaps. It sits between Metal (2007) and the self-titled Annihilator album of 2010, and offers a document of the band's festival set from those years.
