Metal II

Metal II is Annihilator's nineteenth studio album, released on 18 February 2022 through earMUSIC. As the title suggests, it looks back to Metal, the band's 2007 record, and it follows Ballistic, Sadistic from 2020, so it arrives during a steady run of albums from the long-running heavy metal act.

For anyone who knows the band from Alice in Hell in 1989 or Never, Neverland a year later, this is a chance to hear where the group stands more than three decades on. The back catalogue runs through the 1990s and 2000s without a long pause, and Metal II extends that story. It is worth a listen if you like your heavy metal straightforward and you want to see how an old favourite carries on.
