Zeit is the eighth studio album from Rammstein, the German Neue Deutsche Härte band, and it arrived on 29 April 2022. It follows their untitled 2019 record, and it exists largely by accident: with their tour postponed because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the band found themselves with time on their hands and, by their own account, lockdown set off a burst of spontaneous writing and recording.

They made it in late 2020 and early 2021 at La Fabrique Studios in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, France, the same studio where the previous album was recorded. The band produced it themselves alongside Olsen Involtini. The title track, released on 10 March 2022, led the way as the first single. It's a heavy metal and industrial metal record shaped by an unexpected pause, which makes it a useful listen for anyone curious how Rammstein respond when the usual routine is taken away.
