Kill Fuck Die is W.A.S.P.'s seventh studio album, released on 29 April 1997. It turned away from the band's earlier records with a harder, more aggressive sound that draws on industrial metal. Guitarist Chris Holmes returned for it, a surprise move at the time. Blackie Lawless has said that he and Holmes had both just come out of bad relationships, and that the album carries the mark of that. He has also pointed to the film Apocalypse Now as an inspiration.

Lawless billed it as "snuff rock", and the tour matched the description with a deliberately shocking stage show. Some listeners hear another concept piece in the way the songs run together and keep returning to love and pain, in the manner of The Crimson Idol, though the band has never confirmed that. Lawless himself has called it the most creative record he has made, praising its imagery.
