Retrospective I: 1974–1980 is a compilation from the Canadian rock band Rush, released on 6 May 1997 by Mercury Records. It gathers songs from the band's first decade, a stretch that runs from their self-titled debut in 1974 through to Permanent Waves in 1980. The tracks are not laid out in chronological order, so the set plays more like a mixed tour of the early years than a timeline. The cover painting is by Canadian artist Dan Hudson.

It is a handy way into Rush's progressive rock beginnings, before the records of the early 1980s. The collection later found a second life as the first disc of the 2006 compilation Gold, where "Working Man" took the place of "Something for Nothing".
