Grace Under Pressure

Grace Under Pressure is the tenth studio album by the Canadian band Rush, released on 12 April 1984. It followed the Signals tour, which ended in mid-1983, and the band began work on the follow-up that August. This time they parted ways with Terry Brown, the producer they had worked with since 1974. After some difficulty finding a replacement who could commit, they recorded the album with Peter Henderson.

It carries on the synthesizer-led direction of Signals, so it makes a natural companion to that record and shows a band still moving away from its earlier sound. It did well, reaching number 4 in Canada, number 5 in the UK and number 10 on the US Billboard 200, and it went platinum in the US for a million sales. It is worth hearing for the way it captures a group working without its longtime producer.
